Visa policy of Kazakhstan
Today, foreign citizens without presenting additional grounds can enter Kazakhstan by air from all countries with which Kazakhstan carries out regular passenger air service.
Notification of a foreigner’s stay is required within 3 working days from the moment of his entry into Kazakhstan. It does not depend on the entry procedure and duration of stay, as well as the purpose of the foreigner’s visit.
The notification is submitted by the host party (inviting person) to the migration service through the Visa and Migration Portal vmp.gov.kz or the eQonaq.kz system. You should also notify the migration service in the event of:
- a change of address within the city,
- a trip to another city in Kazakhstan.
Failure to submit a notification in a timely manner entails administrative liability of the host party in accordance with Article 518 of the Code of Administrative Offenses of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
A visa is not required for citizens of those countries with which Kazakhstan has concluded separate bilateral agreements on mutual visa-free travel.
