After meeting your guide in the hotel lobby, you will set off on a journey through the deepest depression in Kazakhstan, springs, tunnels and other natural beauties of the Mangystau region.
The first stop is the Karagiye (Karakiya) depression, 132 meters deep, which is the largest dry depression in the Republic of Kazakhstan and also ranks 5th in the world. This natural landmark is a deep bowl, bordered by steep, precipitous slopes and stretching 85 km in length and 25 km in width. The valley of the depression is dotted with ravines, gullies, hollows, gorges, and snow-white mountains rise around it. The bottom of the basin is covered with salt marshes. In the center of the basin there are many picturesque remnants that form the Valley of Figures. The depression continues to grow and change, deepening and acquiring new contours. Karagiye is not only a popular tourist attraction in Kazakhstan, but also a protected natural area. The territory of the depression is part of the Karagiye-Karakol State Nature Reserve, which also includes Lake Karakol, inhabited by flamingos and serving as a haven for many other birds.
Then your path follows to the Onere spring. Onere is a water spring, the largest water source in the Ustyurt Reserve, the well was drilled in Soviet times by Soviet engineers geologists who conducted their research here on the Kenderli salt marsh. The length of the Onere spring stream is 8 km. Wild animals, wolves, foxes, gazelles and birds come to the spring.
The final stop for this day will be the Karynzharyk depression in the rays of the setting sun, in which the area looks most fabulous. Its bottom is covered with Kenderli salt marsh – the longest salt marsh in the region. At the bottom of the salt marsh is a shallow lake, the mirror surface of which reflects the landscape around.
After the trip, you return to the camp for dinner and overnight.
Day 2: Utebay Cave - Aktau
Utebay Cave - Aktau
After breakfast, you go to explore the Utebay cave. The depth of the Utebay cave is about 40 meters, the length of the cave tunnel is 20-30 meters, the cave is quite large. The cave is quite light when the sun is at its zenith and the maximum amount of sun rays gets inside. In the cave in the spring, during the period of snow melting, a small lake is formed for a short period of time. Most of the grotto is well lit by the sun due to the fact that the cavity of the cave is made of white karst deposits. After exploring the cave, you return to the camp for lunch, and then, together with the guide, go to Aktau to your hotel.

RECOMMENDATIONS WHEN PLANNING YOUR TRIP:
◉ The temperature in the city and outside it is different, so when going outside you need to wear warm clothes;
◉ In addition to cold weather, the temperature can rise significantly, so we recommend taking hats and sunscreen with you.
